The Boy Killed His Brother with a Gun Taking It for a Toy
LOUISA COUNTY, VIRGINIA – May 24, 2018
Tyler "Ty" Aponte was found breathless at his home on Tuesday with a gunshot wound to his chest.
It’s not yet clear how the 4-year-old boy obtained access to the gun. “It will be thoroughly investigated,” said Major Donald A. Lowe. “Our heart breaks for this family… they’re devastated, naturally, so we want to do everything we can to help them”.
Neighbor Linda Eddy claimed she had known the Aponte family for more than ten years.
“There’s no way they would leave a loaded gun out,” she said. “They’re good people, good Christians, they take care of their children and make sure they have everything they need. I know this is going to be tragic to them”.
The police will now be investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
