Two heartless crooks robbed $110 of 91-year-old woman in Greenwich Village
A pair of burglars stole $110 from a 91-year-old woman in Greenwich Village after offering her help, police said.
It happened at about 4:20 a.m. when the older woman was crossing Sixth Ave. and W. Third St. When she was heading to a 7-Eleven she lost her balance and fell. Two men approached her, helped her to get up and offered to escort her back to her home for money.
She agreed but could spend only $10, police said. When they together came closer to her home, it turned out that she had $110 with her. One of the suspect saw the money and ripped it from her hands.
The two men ran off north as the woman fell to the ground again. She wasn’t reported of having any injuries.
Saturday police released surveillance images of the two men
