64-year-old woman chased to wine store and stabbed to death by her angry boyfriend in Manhattan
A 64-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her boyfriend inside a wine shot in Manhattan. The stabber then fled but showed on a nearby rooftop, engaging cops into a tense standoff.
On Thursday, Wine Heaven shop on Third Ave. in Kips Bay was shocked when a frightened woman ran into trying to escape from her infuriated boyfriend at about 10:15 p.m.
But the chaos began when her boyfriend burst in behind her and stuck knife into her chest. The man then ran off, police said.
The stabber then appeared on the roof of a five-story building two blocks north from the crime scene.
The police immediately rushed there. They were ready for the man to jump so the inflatable bags were placed. While the standoff was in process, the man’s victim was pronounced dead in the Bellevue Hospital where she was immediately rushed.
The killer eventually surrendered to the authorities and was taken to Bellevue Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
Charges against the suspect are still not revealed.
