Security guard accidently shots himself and 16-year-old girl on Chicago train
Two persons suffered from gunshot wounds on a Chicago Transit Authority train on Thursday which turned out to be an accidental gun discharge.
It happened in Chicago’s Lake View neighborhood at about 4 a.m.
The victims are a security guard and a 16-year-old girl. The gun belonged to the security guy. Chicago police said that the girl was “causing a disturbance” on a CTA Red Line train and the guard came up to her. They got into a physical altercation and the gun in the man’s pocket accidently fired.
The security guard was hit in the leg and grazed the teenager’s stomach, according to the police. Both victims were taken to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center, they were listed in good condition.
