The Prisoners Destroyed Property in Kansas Prison during the Riot: Video
Yesterday afternoon, several dozen convicted criminals rebelled and isolated in the common cell of the Lansing Correctional Facility. Riots reportedly started around 3 p.m.
Having got out of their cells, the prisoners captured the entire block C. During the capture of the building, the correctional staff managed to avoid fights with criminals and evacuated. A video taken by one of them shows how dozens of criminals break property and barricade windows.
According to official information, not a single prisoner escaped from prison. Randy Bowman with the Kansas Department of Corrections reported that most of the rebels returned to their cells and about two dozen more criminals continue to destroy property.
Currently, the riot is being watched through video cameras. Authorities predict that soon the riot will end when the prisoners will have nothing more to break.
