A Man Beats His Mother to Death Because She Didn't Believe His Stories About the Ku Klux Klan
MILLERSVILLE, MD — July 11, 2018
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said they were called to the scene in the 8200 block of Daniels Purchase Way in Millersville on the evening of Saturday, July 8th.
The caller was a neighbor, who accidentally heard a noise and screaming.
When authorities arrived at the scene they found a great deal of blood near the rear sliding glass door of the house. Officers entered the home and found a 53-year-old woman dead on the floor. Her body revealed marks of violence.
Her son, Torian Mack, 23, was also found in the home. He told police officers that they were arguing before he violently attacked her. He said he was tired of the fact that his mother did not take his stories about being attacked by the Ku Kulx Klan seriously.
"I told her I was beaten up by the KKK and she called me a liar, so I had to show her what it was like to get beat up by four or five grown," he told. "She knows I'm a black belt in martial arts and knew what was coming."
An autopsy revealed Rhonda Mack-Dickerson died as the result of multiple injuries to her head and neck.
Despite Mack's confession, the motive for the murder is still questionable. It is also unknown if he was alone at the scene. According to the police spokesman Lieutenant Ryan Fraser, there is no evidence that Mack was attacked by Ku Klux Klan members.
Torian Mack was arrested and has been charged with murder, and an investigation is underway.
In 2014, he received 15 months probation for malicious damage to property and unauthorized application of images to the walls of buildings.
