NYPD applaud hundreds of doctors who have provided ball-breaking assistance in the fight against coronavirus
Hundreds of doctors received loud applause after their last shifts. It is reported that a huge number of doctors and nurses came from other states to help New York in the fight against coronavirus.
Many officers, wearing medical masks, lined up at the Park Central Hotel in Midtown early in the morning and were grateful for the work done.
“Twenty-one days have gone by fast and we’re all excited to go to our last shift,” nurse practitioner Jason Anderson, of Orlando, told PIX 11.
Later, medical staff proceeded onto buses. According to the police, this ritual will be daily until the pandemic disappears and the number of doctors is reduced.
“What we’re starting to see now is those job numbers are starting to decrease dramatically in places like New York,” said Oliver Feakins, president of Travel Nurse Source, according to NY Post.
