Wisconsin Court of Appeal lists strip clubs among businesses that need to receive state financial assistance
Four Silk Exotic Gentleman’s Clubs in Milwaukee and Middleton were previously denied funding as affected by the coronavirus pandemic, but on Friday U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman decided that despite the sexual nature of the businesses, owners can count on help.
The court came to this conclusion after considering the case and the nature of the employees of this industry. Since other businesses have the ability to continue to operate in closed and limited conditions, Strip clubs are deprived of this opportunity.
Also, these regulations violates First Amendment and due process rights, the Journal Sentinel reported.
Despite assurances from the government that the pandemic is nearly over and the time for re-open states to go, the Wisconsin Department of Health reports more than 340 new cases of coronavirus, of which seven have died.
The total number of infected in Wisconsin almost reached the mark of 8 thousand people.
