A recent Dr. Knut M. Wittkowski video posted on YouTube was tagged “misinformation” and removed from the public domain. In the video, the former head of biostatistics, epidemiology and research design at Rockefeller University explained the principles of interaction and counteraction to coronavirus. His main message was such a concept as “herd immunity,” which allows the human body to quickly and independently find antibodies to fight against coronavirus, but for this it is necessary to remove all restrictions from the population and allow them to live an ordinary life.

Since its publication, the video has gained over 1.3 million views, and then YouTube deleted the video, the New York Post reported Saturday.

“With all respiratory diseases, the only thing that stops the disease is herd immunity,” Wittkowski reportedly said in the video. “About 80% of the people need to have had contact with the virus, and the majority of them won’t even have recognized that they were infected.”

The information voiced in the video by Wittkowski has a scientific basis and has been studied by leading experts for several years, despite this the video was deleted without explanation.

“I was just explaining what we had,” Wittkowski explained to The Post’s Jon Levine. “They don’t tell you. They just say it violates our community standards. There’s no explanation for what those standards are or what standards it violated.”

Dr. Scott Atlas, former chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center and a senior fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution defended Wittkowski and his film, saying that at the stage when humanity is powerless in the fight against coronavirus, you need to try all ways to overcome the disease.

“Instead of total lockdown going on which prevents that, we have a chance to have people develop their own antibodies and eventually have enough people have these antibodies to block this sort of network of progression and contagion to the people who are vulnerable,” Atlas told Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Youtube has not yet commented on this incident.
