Trump considers Nevada vote by mail illegal and intends to cut Michigan off budget

412

The recent decision by Nevada officials not to put the population at risk of coronavirus infection and vote by mail has provoked the fury of the President of the United States.

On a tweet, Donald Trump called the vote fraudulent and threatened to hold up funds to the State. A noteworthy fact is that mail-in voting is legal, but Trump's decision is not.

Obviously, the pandemic undermined the position of the current US leader and his confidence in the coming victory. In his opinion, an “unconventional” vote will lead to falsification of the results.

Nevada has already scheduled primaries for June 9th and absentee ballots to registered voters, reports Reuters

"State of Nevada “thinks” that they can send out illegal vote by mail ballots, creating a great Voter Fraud scenario for the State and the U.S. They can’t! If they do, “I think” I can hold up funds to the State. Sorry, but you must not cheat in elections," wrote Donald Trump.

Democratic forces have also stepped up and claim that such behavior by the US president is an attempt to suppress the right of Americans to a safe vote.
