Video: Protestors in New York got stuck on Manhattan Bridge with police waiting on both sides
On June 2, the protestors in New York got blocked on the Manhattan Bridge with police waiting on both ends of the bridge, it was reported.
The protestors initially started in Brooklyn and split into groups from a larger group, according to CNN. The splinter group were trying to make their way to Manhattan when they got stuck on the bridge as the law enforcement boxed them in.
The police were waiting for them on both sides of the bridge so even those who tried to get through back to Brooklyn couldn’t make it. Some of the officers were seen with the white zip ties used to detain protestors.
"Either way, they're going to be met with officers," said Carroll. "Whatever they decide to do, they're going to be met with a vast number of officers who are out here on the streets tonight."
"If they've (police) got to make arrests, they are prepared,” he said pointing at the bus waiting nearby. “They've got the bus here. They've got a number of officers with zip ties, so if they are going to be making arrests, they are prepared to do just that."
