A group of protesters burned hundreds of absentee ballots in Michigan
Activists gathered outside the DeltaPlex Arena in Walker to express their dissatisfaction with the actions of the state government, which wastes taxpayers' money by sending out notices without distinction.
Judging by the appearance of the activists, they all support the current US President Donald Trump. The entire event was held under the flags of the MAGA and Republicans.
“For them just to issue them without merit, without request to absolutely everybody — that is a great waste of taxpayer money,” said Michael Farage, president of the Grand Rapids Taxpayers Association, according to Newsmax.
Challenged to explain what funding he would remove from Michigan if they allow voting by mail, Trump says, "Oh I'm not going to discuss that." After a loud statement about the termination of funding for Michigan, the Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer admitted in an interview that she was afraid to criticize Trump for fear of leaving her state without money.
Michigan sends absentee ballot applications to 7.7 million people ahead of Primaries and the General Election. This was done illegally and without authorization by a rogue Secretary of State. I will ask to hold up funding to Michigan if they want to go down this Voter Fraud path!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 20, 2020
According to rough estimates, sending out ballots to nearly eight million people cost the state $ 4.5 million. Also available in Michigan is online voting, which does not require an absentee ballot, but local officials send them anyway.
