Business owners of CHAZ filed a class action lawsuit against the city because authorities abandoned them
Seattle’s BLM protests leading to the occupation of an entire area have forced dozens of business owners to sue the city because neither the police nor firefighters are responding to the riots in the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ).

On June 8th, a large number of BLM activists enlisted the support of radical antifa members and expelled all police from the area. As soon as the local authorities put up with the defeat, the militants began arming minors for subsequent battles with other pretenders for this territory.
The infrastructure was completely destroyed. The supply of food and other goods was discontinued. In this regard, several companies, citing a violation of their Constitutional property rights, demanded that the city compensate for the damage it caused.
In order not to provoke the anger of the usurped CHAZ authorities, the plaintiffs said that their lawsuit was not aimed at confronting BLM, they want to restore normal life in the area.
“This lawsuit is about the constitutional and other legal rights of plaintiffs – businesses, employees and residents in and around CHOP – which have been overrun by the city of Seattle’s unprecedented decision to abandon and close off an entire city neighborhood, leaving it unchecked by the police, unserved by fire and emergency health services and inaccessible to the public at large,” the lawsuit says
According to the lawsuit, car dealership owners were invaded by a vandal who tried to commit arson but managed to detain him. Trying to call the police, they were refused, reports NY Post. This is not the first time that during the recent shootings inside the autonomous zone, the ambulance also ignored requests for assistance to one of the wounded.
Only under pressure, a law-abiding population and a multi-million dollar lawsuit, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan announced that he intends to regain control of the territory.
