The protestors in New York has settled their own cops-free anonymous zone at the City Hall near the Brooklyn Bridge.
NEW YORK PLEASE GET YOUR ASSES TO CITY HALL. We do not have enough people right now to hold this space. WE NEED BODIES. Spread this and pull up to City Hall #OccupyCityHall #DefundNYPD #newyorkprotest— Alison Musso (@alison_musso) July 2, 2020
Early in the morning of June 30, the protestors unsuccessfully attempted to break into the City Council. The morning at the zone was deceitfully quiet but everything could explode at any moment.
The reporters say the protestors inside the zone don’t like when they are photographed.
The occupants wouldn't leave the area even after the city agreed to cut $1 billion NYPD budget. On July 1, the police tried to remove the barriers but where assaulted and beaten back.

The New York’s variant of CHOP attracts not only the protestors against the police brutality. As some reports from the zone inform that the residents there are mostly the homeless people who just came to the zone to join the new formed community.
