Scammers gained access to Twitter accounts of the most influential people in the United States
A series of tweets from Biden, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and others have rocked the minds of gullible cryptocurrency holders. A few minutes was enough for dozens of people to start sending bitcoins to scammers in order to increase their capital.
To date, it is known that the accounts of Jeff Bezos, Kanye West, Mike Bloomberg, Elon Musk, Uber, Warren Buffet, Apple, Bill Gates and Joe Biden have been hacked. According to an internal investigation, the initial target of the hackers was the employees of the social network Twitter, and through them, the attackers managed to gain access to a multimillion audience.

“We detected what we believe to be a coordinated social engineering attack by people who successfully targeted some of our employees with access to internal systems and tools,” the company tweeted from a support account.
“We know they used this access to take control of many highly-visible (including verified) accounts and Tweet on their behalf.”
