Video shows California erases ‘Black Lives Matter’ mural after local attorney wanted to place MAGA 2020 sign on the same street
A Black Lives Matter mural was removed in one of the California city only not to display the MAGA mural to be painted on the streets.
Redwood City approved the BLM mural near the courthouse and even supply the yellow poster paint.
Previously, local attorney, Maria Rutenberg, requested to put Make America Great Again sign on the street and the BLM mural was washed away by the city’s power-washing crews, secretly in the middle of the night.
Afterward, according to BLM mural organizer Daniel Pease, city officials told him his mural had to go for violating traffic and vehicle codes.
“I saw “Black Lives Matter” sign appearing on Broadway Street on the asphalt and I figured that’s gonna be a new public space, open for discussion, and I wanted to get my message out, too.” Rutenburg said.
