From leaked FBI reports, it became known that gangs of protesters, during the siege of the Field Office of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) used nail-stuffed fireworks.

The violent protest took place on July 25th. It is estimated that 200 people armed with bats, sticks, stones, bottles and fireworks attacked the administrative building. More than two dozen windows were smashed and the walls were vandalized.

“Bomb technicians discovered commercial grade fireworks with nails embedded in the mortar shell,” the document, obtained by Breitbart reads.

Video filmed during the siege shows multiple incendiary rounds were used during the protest. Protesters also used laser pointers to disorient federal agents defending the ICE building.

An anonymous source from the FBI, regarded the found pyrotechnic samples as “device to maim or injure anyone”.

“This kind of device is clearly designed to maim or injure anyone who might be close when it goes off,” the official said.
