Chicago police officer shot outside West Side station
A Chicago police officer was shot on Thursday on the West Side, police said.
The officer was wounded at about 9:40 a.m. right outside the police station, it was reported. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition. He undergoes the treatment; Chicago police spokesman Tom Ahern wrote in twitter.
No further information is available as of now.
In June, a Chicago police officer was shot in the knee after approaching a suspect in Bronzeville on the South Side, police said.
