A former NYPD Sergeant was severely beaten and robbed at the entrance of a store located in Manhattan. According to the investigation, an aggressive panhandler attacked the man because of the remark.

The fight was captured on a security camera. A shocking video shows a criminal inflicting more than 20 blows to the head of a former police officer.

Investigators were able to identify the attacker as a 20-year-old Masterjadin Roman.

As seen in the video, when the former officer tries to get off the ground, Roman and his accomplice return to retrieve the victim's headphones and phone.

Moments later, Roman delivers a stunning kick to the head.

Roman, of Canarsie, has been accused of aggressive panhandling and was slapped with a desk appearance ticket, police sources said, according to NY Post.
