Peaceful protest of pro-Trump activists in Virginia scares Democrats during early voting
The Fairfax polling station was besieged by Donald Trump supporters on Saturday. Hundreds of protesters waved American flags and banners in support of the current US president, frightening the Democrats and forcing the intelligence agencies to be more vigilant.
According to official information, early voting started on Friday and the very next day, after Trump's words about possible fraud, hundreds of Republicans became self-proclaimed election observers.
...I’m playing for your guns, and I’m playing for your values. For all the Federal Employees in Virginia, remember, it was me that got you the Federal Pay Raises, not Sleepy Joe Biden. I’ll be having a Big Rally in Virginia, to be announced soon! https://t.co/WwzdPhDkAZ— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 18, 2020
Immediately after protesters surrounded the polling station, Bryan Graham's Fairfax County Democrats Chair tweeted to blame the protesters for intimidation.
The Republicans are straight-up attempting to intimidate voters at the Government Center. Circling the parking lots with their Trump flags and horns blaring.— Bryan Graham (@BryanGrahamVA) September 19, 2020
In some videos from the site of the protest, it can be seen that the activists do not show aggression and do not interfere with the electoral process, but the author of the videos unfoundedly states that the activists blocked the entrance to the station.
Contrary to statements by intimidated Democrats, Fairfax County Republican Committee Vice-Chair Sean Rastatter said the protesters did not intend to intimidate voters, Business Insider reported.
