Teen armed with fake AR-15 fatally shot man with real gun in Texas
A teen boy with a fake AR-15 was killed by a man with a real gun in Texas on Friday, police said.
The shooting happened on Uvalde Road in Houston. Harris County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call reporting of a boy being shot. It turned out that the caller was the one who shot the teen.
He told the officers that he arrived at an apartment to meet a woman when two young people approached him, armed what appeared to be AR-15 rifles. He instantly pulled out his gun and shot at them, hitting one.
The injured teen could not make it and was pronounced dead at the scene when the responders arrived at the scene.
The investigation then revealed that the teens’ guns were not real.
The second teen who survived was taken into custody for questioning. The shooter was also questioned but there were no arrests made to date.
