Hackers seized Trump's campaign website and threaten to leak evidence of “Cooperation with foreign actors manipulating the 2020 elections”
An unknown group of cybercriminals hacked Donald Trump's campaign website and claims to have found evidence that the US President was “involved into the origin of coronavirus”. Also in the message, there were threats to reveal incriminating evidence.
“Multiple devices were compromised that gave full access to Trump and relatives. Most internal and secret conversations strictly classified information is exposed proving that the Trump Government is involved into the origin of coronavirus,” says the statement.
The site was indeed unavailable for a short period of time. At the moment, this incident is being investigated by the Internal Security Service and the FBI.
"Website was defaced and we are working with law enforcement authorities to investigate the source of the attack," said a spokesman for the Trump campaign, Tim Murtaugh, according to NBC News.
In fact, Donald Trump's social media is extremely vulnerable. In recent months, this is the second confirmed case of hacking of the accounts of the US president. According to official information, a student from the Netherlands simply picked up the password for Trump's account by entering the combination “MAGA2020” in the “password” field.
