12-year-old boy was fatally shot when answering door knock in Phildealphia
A 12-year-old boy was shot and killed in Philadelphia through the front door of his home when answering a knock on Sunday morning, police said.
The murder took place on Sunday at 3 a.m. on the block of Ditman street in Frankford, Philadelphia.

The boy is said to be at home with his grandmother and his 9-year-old sister at the moment when the shooting happened. The boy went to answer the knock at the door and was shot in the head by a single shot through the front door. Police said the suspect gunman fled the scene.

The young victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The incident is under the investigation and ask anybody with information to contact police.
As of now, it’s unclear what was the cause for the shooting.
