Firefighters Still Unable to Cope With Idaho Wildfire
BOISE, ID – July 25, 2018
As local media reports, Idaho firefighters are still unable to stop the spread of a massive wildfire in the state. The territory occupied by fire is growing day by day.
The Trestle Fire, which is now estimated to be 125 acres in size, has grown rapidly from 70 acres estimated by the Idaho Department of Lands this morning.
Response crews, facing obstacles such as steep terrain, are using two helicopters and planes armed with fire retardant, and three fire engines to combat the fire, with 70 firefighters on the ground and more en route.
Containment is expected to take six days. The cause of the fire is unknown.
