YouTuber fractured his skull after jumping off Texas bridge into river
A YouTuber jumped off a Texas Bridge into a river and fractured his skull, the hazardous stunt which was filmed.
Saa Fomba wanted to “chase his dream” and recorded his leap from Austin’s Pennybacker Bridge and posted the video on his YouTube channel after several days in the hospital.
The jump didn’t go well and Fomba fractured his skull when entering the water.
“Hopefully this video will motivate you to chase after your dreams,” Fomba said to the camera as he prepared to jump into the Colorado river. “I don’t see no fun in living a normal life.”
In the video you Fomba can be seen climbing the arch of the bridge up to the top before making a leap without any belaying.
The stunt was pulled from the water by the boater and later he again can be seen on the video lying on the shore heavily breathing. The responders soon arrived to take him to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.
Another video soon appeared which Fomba made from his hospital room.
“This is day three in the hospital. I can walk … I fractured part of my skull,” he said.
“People are texting me ‘is it worth it?’ Fomba said. “No one wished to get hurt, but it’s always worth it chasing your dreams.”
It’s unclear if the YouTuber is facing any felony charges for his record stunt.
