A police officer who shot naked suspect, during attempted arrest, was fired, according to various news outlets. St Paul Police Department Chief Todd Axtell didn’t confirm this statement.

Police reportedly responded to reports of a naked man in the trash can. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer found a naked man who did not obey the orders of the officers.

While showing aggression towards the police officers, Anthony Dean fired several shots at the suspect. The whole incident was captured on the bodycamera. The video shows how, after several shots, the man falls to the ground.

He was also attacked by a service dog.

According to other sources from the police department, Dean was not fired, but put on paid leave.

The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Joseph Javonte Washington.

Washington has been charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of kidnapping, and one count of second-degree assault in connection with an alleged attack several hours earlier in Lakeville, reports News Sky.
