Pornhub Will Begin Cleaning Up Child Pornography And Rape Content Due To Upcoming Restrictions

Faced with accusations of providing access to scenes of violence and sexual exploitation of children, video hosting Pornhub announced that all unverified users will be banned, and more than 80 percent of videos have already been deleted.

"As part of our policy to ban unverified uploaders, we have now also suspended all previously uploaded content that was not created by content partners or members of the Model Program," Pornhub announced in a statement on its website. "This means every piece of Pornhub content is from verified uploaders, a requirement that platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and Twitter have yet to institute."

According to the statistics collected, the adult website provided access to more than 13 million films, but after massive complaints and threats of refusal to cooperate with payment systems, the number of videos dropped to less than 5 million, VICE reported.

In a statement provided to Complex last year, Pornhub denied allegations it had allowed child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to be hosted on the platform. "Any assertion that we allow CSAM is irresponsible and flagrantly untrue," a Pornhub rep said. "We have zero tolerance for CSAM. Pornhub is unequivocally committed to combating CSAM, and has instituted an industry-leading trust and safety policy to identify and eradicate illegal material from our community."

The credit card companies Mastercard and Visa to cut ties and distance themselves from the website, reports Fox News.
