Damage from Capitol Siege Less than $ 1M But BLM Protests Over $ 1B: Biden Calls Capitol Invaders “Terrorists and Thugs”

The newly-minted US president vehemently opposed the Capitol invaders on Wednesday, calling the protesters “domestic terrorists,” adding to the comparison that Black Lives Matter would have faced more serious opposition.

“Yesterday, in my view was one of the darkest days in the history of our nation — an unprecedented assault on our democracy,” Biden said. “What we witnessed yesterday was not dissent, it was not disorder, it was not protest. It was chaos. They weren’t protestors. Don’t dare call them protesters. They were a riotous mob. Insurrectionists. Domestic terrorists. It’s that basic. It’s that simple.”

Judging by the photos that were taken after the sweep of the Capitol building, nothing but furniture and office equipment was damaged. According to preliminary estimates, the total damage will not exceed $ 1 million, while crowds of members of the Black Lives Matter movement literally captured cities, looted, robbed and attacked the same government buildings, including police stations.

In his address, Biden literally said that he was very dissatisfied with the work of law enforcement forces and the gentleness with which they opposed Trump supporters. According to Biden, if there were BLM members in front of them, “they wouldn’t have been treated very, very differently”.

“A little over an hour and a half after the chaos started, I got a text from my granddaughter… she sent me a photo of military people in full military gear, scores of them lining the steps of the Lincoln Memorial because of protests by Black Lives Matter. She said, ‘Pop, this isn’t fair,’” Biden said. “No one can tell me that had it been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn’t have been treated very, very differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol. We all know that’s true, and it is unacceptable. Totally unacceptable.”

Michelle Obama also echoed Biden's statement and released her statement on the Capitol riots.
