Chicago Man Committed 2 Robberies Taken 1 Hostage and Shot 7 People Within 3 Hours

In just a few hours, a 32-year-old man from Chicago shot dead three people and left four victims in critical condition. Within a short period of time, the man also managed to steal a car and make two armed robbery attempts. Ultimately, the shooter was fatally wounded during a shootout with police officers.
The gunman identified as 32-year-old Jason Nightengale. A series of tragic events occurred between 1:50 pm and 5:30 pm on January 9th, according to WGN9.

According to a timeline in a WGN9 article, Nightgale's first casualty was 30-year-old University of Chicago PhD student Yiran Fan, who received several shots while sitting in his car in his garage.
Less than 10 minutes later, Nightengale found two more victims in a nearby housing estate. 46-year-old Aisha Newell received two bullet wounds in the neck and back and died on the spot, doctors are now fighting for the life of the 77-year-old woman.
Driving towards Evanston in a stolen car, Nightengale stumbled upon two more accidental victims. 20-year-old Anthony Faulkner was shot in the head and an 81-year-old woman is in critical condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center.

The last victim of the shooter was a 15-year-old girl who was not lucky enough to get in the way of Nightgale. A gunman shot several times at a passing car on the move and wounded the teenager in the neck. The girl is also in serious condition under the supervision of doctors.
