Twitter Loses More than $ 3 Billion Due to Blocking the President of the United States and Expelling His Supporters
According to the latest information, Monday turned black after the Twitter's shares fell 12 percent. In monetary terms, such a rapid drop is estimated at $ 3.4 billion.
Despite the fact that other social networks also blocked Donald Trump, their capital did not suffer so much.
Facebook shares fell (-4pc) to $US256.84, while Alphabet dropped (-2.3pc) to $US1,756.29, reports MSN.
European leaders, including Angela Merkel, have already condemned the behavior of Silicon Valley corporations.
Donald Trump reacted to total censorship, blaming Twitter of coordinating “with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me—and YOU, the 75,000,000 great patriots who voted for me.”
The overwhelming majority of Americans have already left Facebook and Twitter, moving to platforms not controlled by corporations.
