Georgia man commits suicide after he was charged in the U.S. Capitol Riot
A man charged in the Capitol riot has reportedly killed himself by shooting, the Fulton medical examiner said.
53-year-old Christopher Stanton Georgia committed suicide after he was charged with attempting to “enter certain property that is, the United States Capitol Grounds, against the will of the United States Capitol Police.”
The authorities are investigating his death.
Georgia reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest at his home on Saturday.
According to the police reports, the police officers removed two rifles from his home and listed his death as “under investigation.”
Georgia was one of four men arrested for making threats or taking part in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6.
