Black Panthers and Proud Boys protest peacefully side-by-side in favor of the 2nd Amendment in Virginia

The annual Virginia protest was held by supporters of the US Constitution. Among the activists were far-right organizations Proud Boys, Black Panther and Boogaloo Boys.
Officially, Richmond police detained two black marchers and confiscated their firearms.
In reference to city ordinance banning firearms at gatherings where posted, firearms are banned at permitted events/events that would require a permit. The police later reported that one man at that scene possessed a concealed firearm without a permit. His weapons were confiscated.
Earlier today, Franklin Thurston was issued a summons for possession of a concealed firearm without a concealed carry permit at W. Grace Street and Allen Avenue. Officers confiscated the firearm.

“Everybody in the city is carrying today, and you’re only pulling us over,” yelled a Black woman who was looking on with a group of enraged bystanders, Reuters reports. “Shoutout to Martin Luther King Day!”
