President Biden halts building ot Trump's border wall and its fate remains unclear
In his plans of erasing so called Trump’s legacy, Joe Biden didn’t forget about the Trump’s Wall and the works on that site will soon be stopped. Which is not a huge surprise, in fact.
On Thursday, the crews on San Diego part of the wall construction were replacing a steel fence with imposing, tightly spaced poles topped with flat steel plates rising 30 feet (9 meters), according to Friends of Friendship Park.
The fate of the unfinished border wall is unclear as new president is freezing the project, which initially had to be paid off by Mexico. The wall itself could never really stop the smugglers and illegal immigrants from crossing the border and Border Patrol officials agree with that adding that it could rather slow their advance.
And now as it is only 415 mile built, the fence with the gaps, will resume the flow of immigrants and drugs with new force.
“Building a wall will do little to deter criminals and cartels seeking to exploit our borders,” the website reads. “Instead of stealing resources from schools for military children and recovery efforts in Puerto Rico, Biden will direct federal resources to smart border enforcement efforts, like investments in improving screening infrastructure at our ports of entry, that will actually keep America safer.”
