LEXINGTON – July 30, 2018
Three people were injured during an explosion at the home of an explosives hobbyist, local media reports.
Witnesses told Lexington police that a man shopping at the estate sale unintentionally lit what police determined was an improvised explosive device made out of a lighter, according to the Lexington police.
One man had "serious injuries to his hand and upper body; another man received a cut to his leg and a woman suffered "concussion-like injuries," according to a statement from Lexington Police spokeswoman Brenna Angel.
All three were taken to local hospitals.
