Former Jets player reportedly fatally shot himself after committing four murders in South Carolina this Wednesday.

32-year-old Philipp Adams was a Jets cornerback back in 2014. Now the former football star is dead and he also took lives of four people.

The victims of the mass shooting that took place in York County, South Carolina, are 70-year-old Dr. Robert Lesslie, his 69-year-old wife, Barbaraб and their two grandchildren, 9-year-old Adah and 5-year-old Noah.

They all died from the gunshots wounds.

The sixth victim of the shooting survived, he is 39-year-old James Lewis, who had been working at the house at the moment when Adams allegedly opened fire. Lewis was hospitalized, his condition is unknown.

“I’ve lived in Rock Hill my whole life and Dr. Lesslie was my doctor,” York County Sheriff spokesman Trent Faris said during a press briefing. “A lot of people know Dr. Lesslie.”

Adams himself reportedly used to be Dr. Lesslie’s patient.

After responding to the family’s home in Rock Hill at around 5 p.m. and discovering the bodies, police launched a manhunt for the suspect. Eight hours after, at about 1 a.m., the shooter was found at a nearby house with an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound. He shot himself approximately shortly after midnight, police said.

However, police have not still officially confirmed that it was Adams.

All five deaths are being investigated as homicides.

“We are all shocked this could happen here in York County,” Faris said. “This is a mass shooting. Normally you think of a movie theater or a mall but we are treating this as a mass shooting because there were five victims killed.”
