CNN covering protests in Minneapolis just “makes this worse”: Protester blasts reporter
Ongoing riots in Minneapolis led one of the protesters to try to chase away a CNN film crew. The man explained to the reporter that his work only exacerbated the situation.
“Now you can see y’all be twisting up the story,” the man said to the CNN reporter.
“Alright, so tell me what you think about what’s going on,” the reporter responded.
“What I think about this, it’s all the press and all the extra s*** y’all do, makes this worse,” the man responded. “When people want to protest, they shouldn’t do it in front of a f***in’ police sta–, yeah, court house, s*** like that. You get what the f*** I’m saying? Y’all need to get up out of here with all that twisting that the media and s***.”
“I don’t care if you’re live or not, get away from here with all that media s*** that y’all doing,” he added.
This was an incredible moment live on CNN, when a man in Minnesota walked up to Sara Sidner, and absolutely unloaded in an f-bomb-laden rant: “It’s all the press and all the extra shit ya’ll do makes this worse…Get away from here with all that media shit." pic.twitter.com/DFsszxHyeV— Steve Krakauer (@SteveKrak) April 13, 2021
Another conflict between looters and reporters occurred during the robbery of the Dollar Store in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The film crew of MSNBC was harassed by protesters. In the process of covering the riots and clashes between the looters and the police, several unidentified robbers pounced on the reporters' team.
The video shows the looters shouting “Go the f*ck home!”.
