Texas State Trooper fatally shots teen with a gun what turned out to be airsoft gun

A Maryland State Police trooper shot and kills a 16-year-old teen who allegedly threatened the officer with a knife what turned out to be an airsoft gun, police said on Thursday.
The State trooper initially responded to the calls from Leonardtown reporting of a suspicious man believed to have a gun. One of the callers said the “guy” was acting suspiciously.
When the police officer arrived at the scene, the teen later identified as Peyton Ham, was reportedly standing in a driveway “in a shooting stance, pointing a gun at the trooper.” Ham allegedly also told the officer that he had a knife.
The officer opened fire a first time and wounded Ham.
According to Superintendent Woodrow Jones, one witness claims the teen then pulled out a knife and tried to get up refusing the trooper’s order to drop the knife. The trooper shot him a second time.
I have often written that we simply never hear about whites killed by cops in the same ways as blacks. But I've never quite known of a parallel to one case: what happened to Tamir Rice - till now. https://t.co/8URhWrcYCL

Ham was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The both cops are white. There are no bodycam or dashcam videos of the incident.
