“The Levee Breaks” in Idaho, Flooding the State's Capital
BOISE – August 6, 2018
A water main break in Boise, the capital city of the state of Idaho, has caused flooding in major intersection in the city center near the University, local media reports.
The flooding caused a sinkhole, university officials said in a press release late Sunday. The intersection of University and Lincoln is closed until further notice.
There was a water main break at the campus last October, which led to a responding Boise fire truck getting stuck in another sink hole. Students, staff and others are asked to follow detour signs around the perimeter of campus.
