Multiple people shot in shooting at Wisconsin casino

Shooting at a casino in Wisconsin left several people shot on Saturday night.

It’s not specified how many people exactly were shot. But it was reported that at least seven of the victims remain in critical condition.

The shooting erupted at Oneida Casino located in northeast Wisconsin. The “active shooter” situation was reported at about 8:15 p.m. local time. The scene was secured by the police and the casino remains closed until further notice, according to the news affiliates.

“All of a sudden (came) a huge flurry of gunshots. Between 10 and 30 gunshots. All you could smell outside was gunpowder,” one of the casino patrons said.

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers addressed the shooting on Twitter.

“Kathy and I were devastated to hear about the shooting at the Oneida Casino complex tonight,” he tweeted, referring to himself and his wife. “Our hearts, thoughts, and support go out to the Oneida Nation, the Ashwaubenon and Green Bay communities, and all those affected by this tragedy.”
